Obituary of Madeline D. Cotton

Madeline Diana Cotton of Livingston Manor NY passed away on October 30, 2022, at home. She was 82. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Gudelinis and Anna Golinsky, born on January 17, 1940, in Middletown, NY. In 1952, Madeline made Sullivan County her forever home, where she later met and married Raymond C. Cotton in 1959. They were married for almost 63 years. She enjoyed the outdoors and everything it had to offer; especially gardening, bird watching and camping. She was especially devoted to her dogs and cats. She was a member of the Livingston Manor Senior Citizens group. In her free time, she loved to travel, paint on canvas, play games, and try new recipes with her husband, Ray. Madeline was adventurous and ready and willing to try new things. She loved to go rafting and fondly remembered her hot air balloon rides. Madeline's favorite vacation destination was Maine. She cherished her memories of visiting the different lighthouses, spending time by the ocean, and eating seafood. Madeline was loved by all who knew her. People always felt happy and comforted after spending time with her. Family and friends feel grateful and blessed that she was a part of their lives. She is survived by her husband Raymond Cotton, her children Douglas Cotton of Highland NY, Tracy Kline and her husband John of Youngsville NY, Dennis Cotton and his wife Veronica of South Windsor CT, her grandchildren; Michelle (Ian Burato) Kline, Vanessa (Ellis) Monette, Brianna (Ari) Borko, Benjamin (Dani) Kline, Anna, Quinn, and Rowan Cotton, along with 5 great grandchildren Peyton, Parker, Zoey, Delilah, and Amari. There will be a private memorial service held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Livingston Manor Ambulance Corp.
