When Dolores and I connected recently on Facebook, it was because I remembered her family lived up the road from us when she was growing up. I lived on Cold Spring & the Thompson family lived on High View Ave. I knew her older brother, Fred who used to walk home from school with me when we were freshman. Dolores enjoyed posting chats on Facebook and I was hoping to get together for lunch with her. How heart-breaking that she passed so suddenly. She had made so many friends who loved her and her love of her home town, Liberty.

My condolences to the family. For many years Dolores has been a delightful link to my hometown thru her online posts on Facebook. She brought so much joy to many of us by keeping us up to date on the goings on back home. Her photos of what was happening around Liberty showed how much she cared for the area. She was one of it's biggest fans, not only pointing out old memories but being a cheerleader of the positive changes occuring at home. She will be greatly missed by many of us!

Dear family of Dolores. It was a sad shock reading that she is gone. I always followed her posts as I have lived on Cold Spring Rd. forever & she grew up in our area. Her older brother often walked home from school with me & my sisters. RIP, Dolores.

I will always remember Dolores as one of those people who stepped up to serve to bring people together during a time of great isolation in this country. She gave of her time, her energy, her talents and herself to find and post daily on Facebook for the rest of us to read or view and enjoy. Her posts were a source of topics for conversation among us. They served to bring old friends, classmates and acquaintances together. They brought many opportunities to reminisce. Dolores was an advocate for growth and change. She was a supporter of local businesses. She was a self-starter and unafraid to take positive risks. I saw her as a natural born leader. Dolores made a difference in this world. A big difference. What better accomplishment is there than that? Dolores will be sorely missed in the People Who Come from Liberty Group, among her friends and community and in her family where her absence will be most painfully felt. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all on your huge loss. May you remember her great love for you always!

So sorry Tina & Family & Friends.
we had fun at the Stevensville and even laughed at me when I wasn't funny. She's in golden hands now.
May she rest easy and keep on dancing.

I am so glad I met Dolores at the 60th reunion of the class of ‘58 so we could talk about her brother Jack (who passed away just a short time before that gathering). We discussed the fabulous, undefeated ‘57-‘58 basketball team on which her brother played. I also got a chance to thank her for the wonderful postings about Liberty in Facebook. She, and her posts, will be missed!
