Obituary of Letha E. Friend

Letha E. Friend, also known as Lee, passed away at home surrounded by her family on March 13, 2023. She was 100. Lee was born in DeBruce, New York and resided in Liberty for most of her life. She was a designated housewife by title, but with that came great honor and passion to take care of her family. Lee loved to play BINGO, feed the birds, garden, go fishing, play cards, and plant flowers of all colors and varieties. Above everything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will truly be missed by everyone that knew and loved her. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her granddaughter Michelle Friend, her great grandchildren Matthew, Evangeline, and Rylan Friend, her niece Kathy Kendall and her husband Lynn, nephew Phillip Owen, great niece and nephew Jennifer Kendall and Mark Kendall and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur "Ike" Friend, her son Randy Friend Sr., grandson Randy Friend Jr., her sister Virginia Owen and niece Theresa Owen. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 307 West Broadway, New York City, NY 10013. (Bestfriends.org). Visitation will be on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Ramsay Funeral Home 275 South Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754 from 12:00-2:00pm. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
