Obituary of Walter Junior Brooks

Walter Junior Brooks affectionally known as Uncle Bubba, of Youngsville passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Garnet Health Medical Center. He was 63.

Walter was the son of the late Walter Harris and Lena Mae Brooks, born on November 7, 1959, in Miami, FL.

He proudly served our country in the United States Army. He worked for many years in the Dade County School District until his retirement. He loved everything about basketball, he enjoyed watching it and playing it. For many that ever-played ball with him they called him "Sky Walker". He enjoyed wrestling, eating, and singing. He was a true family man that loved spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his children, Isacc Brooks, Walter Brooks Jr., Wallace Brooks and Wycidra Brooks of Homestead, Fl., his sibling William Brooks, and Ruby Brooks, of Bridgeport, CT., his aunt Agnes Taylor, Florida City, Fl., and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sibling Mable

Harris, Mary Scott, and Ida Brooks.

There will be a funeral service on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 South Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754, at 1:00pm. with Pastor Michael Williams officiating.
