Obituary of Doris P. DeVoe

Doris P. DeVoe of Liberty passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Care Center at Sunset Lake. She was 95.

She was the daughter of the late Preston Finkle and Bertha Tuttle, born on February 22, 1928, in Livingston Manor, NY.

Doris was kind and compassionate. She was a foster grandparent for Liberty Elementary School.  She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children Kim DeVoe and wife Patty, Renee Roosa and husband Thomas, Dru DeVoe, and Melissa Kantor, her grandchildren Dillon and Nicholas Roosa and Andrea DeVoe, great grandsons Jackson and Gabriel Roosa, her sisters Elinor Welch. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew DeVoe, her grandson Casey Roosa, her brother Leland Finkle, and her sister Bernice Montel.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Care Center at Sunset Lake especially Unit 4, for all their kindness and compassion.

Donations in Doris’s name can be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.

Services will be handled privately at the convenience of the family.
