Rose Stewart was known affectionately to many as “Cutie.” She was born September 16, 1951. She was called Cutie because she was a cute person not only in looks but in spirit as well. Rose was born in Jamaica and migrated to the United States in 1972. Rose lived in Brooklyn, New York for a while. She then she moved to Monticello and Liberty, New York. She lived most of her life, over forty years in Liberty, New York.
She is survived by her children: Beverley Boothe, Michael Thompson, Novelette Forrester, Adahlia Thompson, Latoya Russell, and Zechariah Stewart, a host of grandchildren, great -grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Her mother and a few other siblings predeceased her in death.
Visitation will be held from 10am to 11am at New Testament Church, 39 Clinton Ave, Ellenville, NY 12428. A funeral service will be held at 11am at the church. Burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY 12754.
