William Fredrick Donnelly Sr. born July 7, 1942, in Middletown, NY. He passed away in his home in Woodridge, NY, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 81. He was the son of Benjamin and Helen Hughes Donnelly. William was an army veteran who took pride in his country. In 2012, he retired from truck driving to enjoy the things he loved most in life. He was a very talented craftsman who enjoyed woodworking, making children's banks, and lawn ornaments. He loved being outdoors, watching wildlife, and tending to his garden. He loved baseball, collecting baseball cards, and was a major fan of the NY Yankees. He would lighten up any room he'd walk into with his jokes and laughter. He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Nancy L Hewlett Donnelly, married for 54 years. His four amazing children, Patricia L Donnelly, companion Charles Pikul. Janice S Donnelly Ahrens, husband Fred H. Ahrens. William F Donnelly Jr., companion Migdalia Negron. Jeffrey A Donnelly, wife Kathleen O'Flaherty Donnelly.
He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Alesha Ahrens, fiancee Christopher Cox. Amanda Ahrens, Fred Ahrens Jr.,Allyson Ahrens, Anthony Ahrens, Devin Donnelly, companion Grace Kelly, Kyle Donnelly, Julie Donnelly, Jeffrey Donnelly Jr., Danyael O'Flaherty, Talien O'Flaherty, Aiden O'Flaherty, Abigail O'Flaherty.
Great grandchildren Micheal, Lilly, Rylee, Jace, Reese, Oliver, Liam, Madyson.
He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who he holds close to his heart and are very important to him.
He also leaves behind his best friend of many years, William Curry of Liberty, NY who he was so thankful for and will always be remembered by.
William F. Donnelly Sr. has taught us so many things without even realizing he was teaching, and for that, we will always be so grateful. To the best husband, father, grandfather, Uncle and friend. You will always be in our hearts, mind, and soul. The positive impacts you've made on us will always be cherished.

A visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held at 12pm at the funeral home. Rev. Carl Caskey will officiate. Interment to follow with full military honors at Hurleyville Cemetery.
