Obituary of Diana Dunn

It is with immense sadness that Diana L. Dunn (some call her Di or Nan) of Loch Sheldrake N.Y. passed away peacefully on Thursday August 3, 2023 at the age of 60. She was listening to her and her husband's song (My Best Friend) with her sister Victoria and her niece Michelle by her side.

Diana was born in Goshen N.Y. to her loving Mother Lillian M. Barbarick on January 20, 1963. She was married to her husband Francis Dunn Sr, for 39 years but they were together for a total of 46 years with three boys, Francis Dunn Jr. Of Fl. Louran Dunn of NY and their late son George Dunn, a Daughter Barbara Rose Youmans of NY two God-Daughters/Nieces Michelle Rose (husband Travis Rose) of N.Y , Latesha Wertz of N.Y. and a God-Son Joseph Porto Jr (Wife Natesha Porto) of C.O.

She was a loving Wife, Daughter, Sister, Mother, Nan and Friend with a heart of gold. Not only was she a CNA for 24 years but she helped people and took in people out of the kindness of her heart when they needed it. She loved taking drives with her husband, drinking coffee, watching all the trouble makers at the stores, playing spades, hanging out with family, watching the birds in her garden, hanging out drinking coffee and chatting with her friends and family.

She is predeceased by her mother Lillian Barbarick, Step father Fredrick Devoe, Husband Francis Dunn Sr, Sister Wanda Turner, Son George Dunn and Grandson Ocean Dunn.

Diana is deeply missed by those she left behind her. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Wertz of FL, her three sisters Yvonne Beall of IN, Victoria Wertz- O'Dell (husband Ronald O’Dell) of NY, Pamala Wertz pf N.Y a brother in law Carl Turner of NY, her many nieces and nephews and her grandchildren Dakota Rose (bubba), Gage Dunn, Trever Dunn, Logan Dunn, Tristan Dunn, Jasmine Dunn, Kyleigh Dunn, Summer Dunn, Harmony Dunn, Raine Dunn, Kaiden Youmans, Keira Dunn and an unborn grandchild. 

A visitation will be held on Monday August 14, 2023 from 6pm–8pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home at 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne NY 12788. Any donations made can be made to the funeral home or on there website.
