Obituary of William H Walker

William H. Walker of Monticello, New York passed away on June 28, 2023, at home. He was 78.

He was the son of the late Eddie Walker and Fanny Black, born on July 6, 1944, in Uniontown, AL.

William was a hard worker, who made his career with his hands, working as a laborer doing landscaping. He was a good friend and companion to all who knew him, he had a golden heart, and truly loved his fellow man, and was a great dad to his ‘fur babies’. He would do anything for anyone and kept a quiet life, in his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and in general enjoyed being outdoors. He was a loving companion, father and friend to all the lives he touched, he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

William is survived by his devoted companion Priscilla Evans; his children: Stefanie, Stacey, and Brian Walker; stepchildren Dwayne Walker and Quintina Evans; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brother-in-law Richard Evans.

The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Modi, his nurses and staff in the oncology department, as well as Dr. Abourbih and his staff in the urology department, and Nurse Practitioner R. Rosenburg, for all the care and guidance they provided for William.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 1:00pm.
