Obituary of Diane Sprague

Mrs. Diane Sprague of Livingston Manor, NY died unexpectedly on Monday, August 14, 2023 at home. She was 60.

She was born September 1, 1962 in Hackensack, New Jersey, the daughter of Janet S. Kibrick and Robert W. Schmitt Sr.

Diane was the toughest and most loving woman you have ever met. Her energy always lit up the room as she walked in. She catered to anyone that was in need, and opened her home to everyone that needed a helping hand. Her love and kindness will forever be with all of us.

She is survived by her loving mother Janet S. Kibrick; two sons Robert J. Caputo, Jr. and his wife Jessica, and Brian N. Caputo and his fiancé Brittany Friedlander; daughter Julie C. Edwards; brother Robert W. Schmitt, Jr. and his fiancé Michelle Siek; nieces Josette Ortiz, Chrissy Schmitt and Nicole Schmitt and her fiancé Richie Dominguez; as well as step-siblings Sean Kibrick and his wife Brooke Kibrick and Tara Kibrick Welkley and her significant other Jim Coons; as well as two granddaughters Bella D. Caputo and Luna F. Caputo.  She is predeceased by her father Robert W. Schmitt, Sr.

A visitation will be held at Colonial Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St, Livingston Manor, NY, 12758, on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 2pm to 4pm. A visitation will be held at Vine and Branch Free Methodist Church, 2535 Route 52, Liberty, NY, 12754, on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, with a funeral service to follow at the church at 12:00pm. A procession will follow to Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 104 Cottage St, Middletown, NY, 10940 approximately at 2:30pm where Diane will be laid to rest in a mausoleum.
