I was blessed to know Lenny these last several years of his life. He became a beloved part of our church... faithful in attendance for Sunday worship (when not with his other congregation in Rock Hill); our monthly men's breakfast (often bringing his signature breakfast dish, sausage and gravy); and Wednesday dinners and Bible studies (He made a great cheese cake). He was a very giving man, sharing his love of cooking with many people that he would invite into his home, helping neighbors, faithfully giving to the Lord, and, personally, giving us a butane bottle and riding lawn mower that he thought we needed and would put to good use. He loved the Lord and looked forward to heaven, where he knew he would be because of his faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you to his brothers who witnessed to him, and particularly for the tract that one of you gave him that scared him out of hell and into the arms of Jesus. He struggled a lot physically in the latter part of his life, probably more so than he let others know about, but he carried on as he was able and was a blessing to me and many others. Paul Nilsen
