Obituary of Loyd Nelson

Loyd J. (Jimmy) Nelson, of Woodbourne, NY, passed away on September 21, 2023. He was 76.

He was the son of the late Floyd Manley Nelson and Dora Lea (Williams) Nelson, born on June 10 in Sheridan, Arkansas.

Loyd proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1966-1967. He worked as a mechanic and a school bus driver.  He is survived by a brother, Tim, two daughters, Theresa and Jamie and a grandson, Brian.

A service will be held at Calverton National Cemetery with full military honors.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Wounded Warrior Project charity for military families.
