Obituary of Mary Anne North

Mary Anne North of Shokan passed away on November 6, 2023, in Calvary Hospital. She was 81. 

She was the daughter of the late Denton F. Allison and Jean Jeffrey Allison, born on May 18, 1942, in Manhattan, NY.

Mary Anne loved the outdoors and everything it had to offer. Whether she was kayaking, bicycling, hiking or gardening, she spent as much time as she could in nature. Mary Anne could regularly be found riding her motorcycle and enjoying time with friends and family. She was devoted to the Reservoir United Methodist Church. She was always there for her family, celebrating their achievements or lending a helping hand. She will be sadly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Ronstrom (Kevin), Patricia Seward, her grandsons Kyle and Jeffrey Seward, her niece Karen Schaefer Linen, and a host of friends.

She was predeceased by her two husbands Robert J. Schaefer and Harry D. North, one granddaughter Mary MacMaster and her nieces Lori Schaefer Hastings and Wendy Annunziata.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 3534 State Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY from 12:00-1:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Bethel, NY.
