Barry Rosenthal, born on December 3, 1949, in Brooklyn NY to Fanny Sinclair (Mother) and David Rosenthal (Father).
He spent his early years learning Yiddish and attending Temple services weekly. On December 30, 1980, he arrived at the New Hope Community Hotel just 5 years after it opened. While he gained many friends along the way at New Hope once the Hotel closed and the ICF campus home opened up he moved into 205 Michael's court where he lived for 7 Years when he transitioned into an IRA home setting in 1088. Seeking a new adventure after just 4 years he moved to 5884 near his favorite place, Dunkin Donuts. 8 years later an opportunity came about for a smaller home with bigger opportunities for travel, so he packed his bag and moved to Fairway avenue where he resided for 5 years this was where he met his "Work Wife" Cathy North. He loved Cathy dearly and would tell everyone he knew about her. In 2012 he needed a little bit of additional support, so he moved into 82 West St. Where he resided till May of 2023. He then moved into 306 Stupell where he resided until his passing. Barry lived his life full of adventure with his love of shopping and going out into his local shops, stores, museums and, especially to Dunkin Donuts or local restaurants. He also loved his vinyl records on repeat. He enjoyed collecting records and CD’s. He liked to watch his old westerns and top gun. He enjoyed all types of movies and participated in activities at New Hope Community. He liked using his Keurig and soda stream machine. He enjoyed waking up early and listening to music on Pandora while having a cup of coffee with anyone who wanted to spend some time. Barry will be greatly missed and remembered by his New Hope Community Family.
He is survived by his friends and extended family at New Hope Community.
