Obituary of Harvey Honaker
Please share a memory of Harvey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Harvey “Chip” Honaker, 56 of ARC Greater Hudson Valley, NY passed away at home on January 2, 2024.
Chip, as he loved to be called, was born on November 27, 1967 in Liberty, NY to James Paul Honaker and Shirley Ruth Miller. Chip made many lifelong friends who consider him a special party of their extended family. Chip will always be remembered for his love of cheeseburgers, French fries, chocolate chips cookies (he called them that) and vanilla milkshakes from McDonald’s. Chip had a passion and love for music, in particular, John Lennon and the Beatles. Although we would never understand it, Chip had love for all types of dining room and coffee tables. Chip loved to sit on any table he could and would often meditate. He leaves behind many friends.
His ARC family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all that loved and cared for Chip at his former homes, Forestburgh and White Lake and his most recent home, Pleasantview. He will be greatly missed.
On behalf of Chip, we offer the following quote by Irving Berlin, “The song is ended by the melody lingers on.”
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10am at the Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 with Pastor Virginia Bossley officiating services at 11am. Chip will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery immediately following services.
