Obituary of Elaine Bell

Elaine “Cookie” Bell, of Smallwood, NY, passed away on February 6, 2024 at the Care Center at Sunset Lake, Liberty, NY. She was 89.

She was the daughter of the late Louis and Edna (Sullivan) Dauch, born on November 20, 1934 in White Lake, NY.

Cookie loved helping people, that was evident in her career as a nurse. She was a loving and passionate mother, who truly loved her Savior and enjoyed spending time at church. She was an advocate for Alzheimer's Association. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those who loved her.

Elaine leaves behind to cherish her memory; children John, Todd, James, and Jeffrey Hofsommer and Kathy Kearney; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Henry Bell and daughters Terry Foster, Deborah Walters and Melody Williams.

A visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 3534 State Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY 12749. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12pm. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Route 17B, Bethel, NY.
