I recall Harriet very fondly as very kind, cheerful and a mentor to me as I was learning the new duplicate bridge conventions after moving to Naples in 2008. She played with me many times and encouraged me in my pursuit of the game. She will always have a special place in my heart.

My sincere condolences to my former classmate Vicki and her siblings on the loss of their beloved mother and family matriarch. Harriet's passing marks the end of an era not only in our town but in the hospitality industry which she so capably represented with her warmth, patience, kindness, grace, humor and inimitable elegance.

Very sorry to hear about Harriet's passing. She was one of a kind for sure. We have very fond memories of Harriet and Jerry. We first met Jerry in the pool at the Terraces and through Jerry we then met Harriet. They were the most welcoming of people and our family loved the stories of the Catskills in their heyday. We wish the family long healthy life.

Dear Vicki, Stephen, Cliff, Lisa and your spouses, children, and grandchildren:
We send our love and deepest sympathies for the passing of your beautiful and vivacious mother who always greeted us with warm hugs and lots of love as if we were members of your mishpocha. Harriet's style, grace, and memorable laughter will stay with us forever. Our visits to the Pines Hotel and her stunning house next door are embedded in our memory banks as some of the best times of our early family lives where our kids learned to ice skate. We are all enriched from knowing her and keeping her spirit within us and well into the future.
We wish you all much peace as you learn to live without her physical presences. Hopefully, in time you will be blessed with only happy memories of her long and joyous life.
Love,
Suzanne, Russell, Jacob, and Lucas

Harriet was a wonderful, caring, lively woman; she was my mother’s best friend and bridge partner. Matriarch of a wonderful family. Rest in peace Harriet.

My family worked at The Pines. When I was 18, and about to go to college, Harriet took me to Helen's Dress Shop and helped me pick out new clothes for college and paid for it all. I remember each item of clothing 60 years later!
Harriet was always kind, funny, gracious, and generous.
We all loved her.
