Obituary of Joseph Burns

Joseph Burns of Ferndale passed away at home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. He was 79.

Joseph was born on Sunday, February 11, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY to his loving parents Peter Burns and Helen Zeun.

Joseph served his country proudly in the United States Army and continued to display his dedication and work ethic through his occupation as a mechanic. He enjoyed watching TV, cutting the grass, and being outside with the dogs or gardening. He loved his family and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his companion, Margaret DeSimone, his sister Helen Vasile, His brother Robert Burns, his children Carl (Lisa) DeSimone, Christine DeSimone, Anthony DeSimone, 6 grandchildren, and a host of friends.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Alberto, Patrick, Peter, and Michael Burns.

Services were handled privately for his family.
