Obituary of Louis Pizzo
Louis J. Pizzo of Mountaindale passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center on Saturday, May 25, 2024. He was 68.
He was the son of the late James V. Pizzo and Dorthea Cozza, born on May 28, 1955, in the Bronx.
Louis and his wife Ruth lived in Mountiandale for many years. They would have been married for 50 years on August 10th. The love they shared was unmatched, he was an amazing husband. He was a 5th degree black belt and devoted many hours and years to teaching adults and children of Mountiandale and surrounding area the art of Karate. He was known to many of his students as Master Lou. As much as he loved karate, he also loved his gems, crystals, and minerals as he made a living dealing them. Music and partying were some of his favorite past times. He was loved by Zinger and the love was definitely reciprocated. He was a devoted husband, loving uncle, wonderful brother, and dear friend to all that knew and loved him; he will be deeply missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Ruth A. Pizzo, two sisters, brother and sisters-in-law, one Auntie J, several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Services were handled privately at the convenience of the family.
