I met Rich through Facebook back in 2011. We started talking when the Pens were playing the Lightning in round 1 of the playoffs. We continued talking and became good friends. I became chronically ill in 2012 and he was there for me and always cared. When he became ill I was there for him too. I'm sad to see such a sweet person be taken away so young. He is definitely missed! My heart goes out to his family. Hope he's playing hockey up in heaven ♡
Very well done obituary. I will miss seeing Rich at the car races. I'm sure he's in heaven with his mom and dad who also was a friend of mine. Great dirt track fans. RIP Rich.
I am very sorry for the Duryea family's loss. Rich was a staple at SHS gatherings since 2008, and was always happy to mingle with classmates of all years. I will miss his knowledge and postings of music and tributes to his father. I hope he is at peace...
