Obituary of Gerow Mangan

Gerow "Muggs" Mangan, of White Sulphur Springs, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center. He was 72.

He was the son of the late Thomas James Mangan and Marion Louise Gerow, born on May 26, 1948 in New York, NY.

He attended Liberty High School and then went on to serve his country in the US Navy at the age of 17. He earned his GED in the Navy Sea Bees. He served as Chief Steward for Verizon Union and was a member of the VFW of Liberty 9217, Elks of Liberty 1545, Happy Footers Square Dance, Sullivan County 4H Shooting Sports, Conservation Club, a past member of the Coon Club, Past Chief Steward CWA Union, 4H Leader Bullseye, PA Long Bow and an NRA Instructor.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Michelena Radzieski of White Sulphur Springs; sister MaryAnn Mangan; children Kyle Mangan of White Sulphur Springs, Melanie (Cliff) Free of Minisink, Erin (Patrick) Everitt of Youngsville, and Donald Allen (Mackenzie) of Massapequa, NY; grandchildren Andrew, Kaydence, Ryan, Colin, Brenna, Kameron, Kahlleigh, Josie and Luke; as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his son Gary.

A celebration of his life will be on May 30, 2021 at the White Sulphur Springs Fire Department at 2:00. Please RSVP by May 25, 2021 to Erin at 845-292-0754. Guidelines set forth by the State of New York, will be followed, masks and social distancing are required at all times.
