To our Family,
Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
Words do not come easily. It was all too soon and I am deeply at a loss for words. In the few years that Adele lived close by in Brooklyn, I remember her most for her sense of humor, her laugh, her tender voice, her most beautiful heart, and yes her immense beauty. She gave our family light because she was so intensely genuine. She made my brother so very happy: and for this I will always be grateful because I LOVE him so. Bringing Lori and Sara into our lives was nothing short of a miracle. I am proud to have such warm and caring nieces, who brought love, respect and the spirit of truth into our family. To Adele"s family, there is nothing that I can say that you do not already know about this special woman. I am so sorry
