Our sincere condolences and our thoughts and prayers to the entire Petro Family. Since Tom and I left New York, we saw Howie a few times when we lived in South Carolina. Even though we didn't keep in touch our friendship was forever. Howie was Tom's best man our wedding. Tom and Howie bowled together, went on fishing trips and hunted together. The memories will be everlasting.

Heaven has truly gained one of the good guys - he must of been needed. So many fond memories from racing, snowmobiling or just hanging out in the garage, you may have been called Miserable but you were far from that. Howie was a special person to me and my family. The grumpy old man from the fire house and HoHo to my children. He always had a welcome in smile when I joined the fire department. Always said hello and made sure I knew I saw him and said the same.
