God Bless you Mickey Barnett and I know that was Michael's stage name. I played with Mickey many nights and did some recordings with him. I called him wide track Mickey cause his voice dominated all else on tape. Yeah I've seen him do magic tricks, call out square dances, and entertain crowds of all different sizes. Heck we were working on 3 generations of fans, grandma's, mothers, daughters, and gee maybe 4 generations. Mickey was a tireless worker, a super salesman, and pro entertainer. I met him at Kutchers country club in 80's and we developed a good friendship and I helped Mick set up his recording studio, a wonderful guy that is already missed. We did an Elvis show with him at Scalawags in Monticello and he did the the full show costume and all. It Jailhouse Rocked! My condolences to Mickey's family for their great loss.I use to go over to whitelake and get guitar lessons from Mickey. He told me he had played backup for ELVIS. MICKEY was supose to get concert tickets for Pam and I but ELVIS passed away soon after.The Little Giant is such a great loss.Just last week I was playing the vinal album that he had given me.Thireen Yellow Roses.

I knew Mickey through my sisters, Naomi McCormick and Edna Tursi. He and his band entertained us at my mother's 75th birthday party in 1998. He and his band also entertained us at numerous other occasions. He was a fine gentleman and musician. I have many of his CD's and I listen to them in my car. I offer my condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

Mickey Was a head of Jayne Meadows Fan Club at 15 years old. He use to ride around with Jackie Gleason in his big red Cadillac. He would sit in the front row while the Honeymooners show was produced , after he would go with the cast to Toots Shor"s club . And see Frank Sinatra , Marilyn Monroe, Joe DiMaggio and many other famous people at a young age. He produced 26 country albums , most in the basement of Pat LaMothe's house in White Lake NY . While Janine made coffee . Two years ago he re released one of his top hits Keep Your Cotten Picken Hands off My Gin , Its a video on you tube. His last Gig was in late 2023 .
