Mona was more than just a colleague and mentor; she was a friend. As a teacher, she had this incredible knack for understanding students and helping them reach new heights. I'm sure countless students have soared in their mathematical endeavors because of the inspiration she shared with everyone. And oh my goodness, was she passionate about the Yankees! We even chatted about taking a little trip to see them play because it meant so much to her.
I'm really going to miss Mona's warmth and kindness. She had this amazing gift for bringing people together and spreading her enthusiasm for various topics wherever she went. Even though she's not with us anymore, I firmly believe her spirit will continue to shine through in everyone she touched.

My deepest sympathy to Mona's family and friends. Mona was a dear friend of mine. When I started at Fallsburg, she took me under her wing. She was an intelligent woman and loved her dogs. She loved planning trips especially Washington DC and Yankee games. Me and my sons went to DC with her and had a great time. We had lots of talks through the years and I'm glad that I saw her in September when I travelled back to NY. Mona will be missed!
