Dr. Walter was an intelligent, friendly and family oriented individual. My husband and Dr. Walter were both medical professionals and usually shared history of service from the Correctional facilities. He and his family usually took part in various activities and events within the Ukrainian community, especially supporting the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Kerhonkson, NY.

I am so sorry for the loss of such a good man. I knew Dr. D. from my years as a nurse at Kingston Hospital. Then serendipitously; we both took at position at Hazelton Federal Penitentiary. Being a physician in that environment was not easy- and support was very important. I was a Nurse Practitioner at the Prison and Dr. D. always took the time to answer my questions and assist when needed. His smile will live on. Please accept my sincere sympathy and prayers. Walter was a dear man. He loved to visit with us and give medical advise.. Enjoyed going to White Sulphur Springs Fire House meetings with Dennis. He liked my dog, Fluffy, and took care of him occasionally. Dennis & I enjoyed going out to dinner with Walter & Harriet and eating on their patio. Walter will be missed. God bless Walter, Harriet and their family.
